Mark Dunaway - Chairman and CEO
Mark Dunaway serves as Chairman and CEO, for Composite Materials
Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Dunaway brings with him years of
experience and a diverse background including 25 years of wireless
industry experience. Mr. Dunaway has co-founded several startups in
his career. He has also acquired a number of companies and has merged
or sold many companies. Mr. Dunaway most recently founded Criterion
Partners.
During the 1980’s Mr. Dunaway co-founded two companies in the wireless
industry, a paging, and a cellular company, and served as CEO. Both
companies grew to over $100 million in revenues and were later sold to
Bell Atlantic Corporation. Mr. Dunaway has worked with and invested
with a number of international corporations including serving as the
president of several of British Telecom’s ventures in North America.
Some of the companies Mr. Dunaway co-founded include The Beeper
Company, Friend Technologies, Favor Broadcasting, PNI Technical
Services, and EPS Technical Services. These companies and several
others were sold or merged into existing large private or public
companies. Mr. Dunaway has served as board member, founder, or active
investor in several companies that went public including Dial Page,
Omega Environmental, Preferred Technologies, and Cypress
Communications.
Mr. Dunaway has proudly served as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of
America for fifteen years. He was formerly Chairman of Pace Academy,
an Atlanta preparatory school, and continues to serve as a Trustee.
Currently, he is a Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro
Atlanta and co-founder of The Coffee House Club.
Mr. Dunaway was born in Joplin Missouri, raised in Bakersfield,
California; he currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia where he is married
with three boys.
Allen E. Sells - President
Allen formerly a founder of the Growth Strategy Group and has over 15
years of experience in financial management and business development.
Allen has acted as a strategic and financial advisor in M&A
transactions with enterprise values in excess of $500 million. Prior
to the Growth Strategy Group, Allen was with Turner Broadcasting and
Time Warner from 1990 to 1998. In 1994, he formed the Business
Development group for Turner Sports, Inc. He is a Certified Public
Accountant, licensed in Georgia, and a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Sells received a
Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Peter H. Mokhiber -Vice President Sales & Marketing
Peter Mokhiber is a Specialty Composites founder who came from MTI
Technology, Inc. where he was Vice President of Professional Services.
Peter has over 24 years experience developing and building Sales and
Marketing organizations. During his career, he has been responsible
for all Business Development and Operations, including writing and
negotiating contracts; delivering complete solutions, writing industry
white papers, marketing materials and training the existing sales
force to sell and introduce new products and services. Mr. Mokhiber
holds a Board of Governors BS Degree from Western Illinois University
and an MBA in Accounting from Keller Graduate School. He resides in
Marietta, GA with his wife and daughter.
John R. Mott -Vice President Research and Development
John was formerly an SCC founder from Maryland Composites Corporation,
where he served as President and Chief Scientist. During his tenure he
perfected the technology on which Composite Materials Technology was
founded. The developments included the patent pending winding process,
the inorganic composite cement matrix and the composite pole/tube
complete manufacturing process. John holds several patents in the
composite winding area, including those related to the development of
Inductively Transparent Ferro-Silicon Furnaces. This development
served as the foundation technology for the development of low cost
high strength composites. The composite materials composition provided
the physical properties necessary to meet the long-term durability and
strength requirements for the utility distribution and transmission
pole market. John is a member of the American Ceramic Society,
American Concrete Institute, the Iron and Steel Society, and the
Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering. He
was educated at Cleveland State in Engineering, in Mechanical
